Some such questions were discussed at a seminar on power systems hosted by Sawary Energy earlier this week. Engineers and executives from various industries and establishments were present at the well-attended event at Jeddah’s Le Meridien Hotel.
"Sawary Energy is a highly specialized Saudi company in the field of electrical generation and distribution. That's why top organizations like SABIC, ARAMCO, AT&T, Ericsson, the Ministry of Defense and the Civil Defense turn to us to ensure their power generation and distribution requirements," said Mohammad Bashir Janjua, chief operating officer of Sawary Energy.
Giving a presentation on the needs of energy requirements in Saudi Arabia, Janjua said Sawary has served over 10,000 sites over the last 15 years supplying temporary power. Currently, it is supplying energy to the mobile units of all the three telecom operators, Saudi Telecom, Mobily and Zain.
"A fleet of mobile service trucks covers all the regions in Saudi Arabia. Besides, the trading division of our company is having a growing share in the market of diesel generator sets, power plants, automatic transfer switches, switch gears, flood light units, distribution panels, battery charger and spare parts for diesel engines and generator sets,” he said.
Sawary obtained the sole distributorship of American electric-generator company Kohler.
Homer Virgo, Kohler Power Systems' area manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa, gave a detailed presentation on the company at the seminar.
