“The opening of the showroom to distribute Renault vehicles
brings a new approach to ensure optimum levels of quality, expertise and
services that will be delivered to customers, matching Renault’s ambitious
plans for the Kingdom,” said Katsumi Nakamura, Renault’s executive vice
president, while speaking on this occasion. Renault, a brand which represents
over 100 years of automotive experience, is being ushered in to a new era in
Saudi Arabia, he added.
He said that the Renault was “happy to work in partnership
with the GAA; a company with more than 75 years of combined industry experience
from the families of Al Baazei and Suhail Bahwan”. A statement released on this
occasion said that the company will invest SR100 million to open a network of
showrooms and service centers in the Kingdom. “In addition to Riyadh, another
two showrooms in Dammam and Jeddah, eight state-of-the-art service centers and
25 spare part outlets will open in the coming months,” it said.
Referring to the Renault cars, the statement said that the
most prominent of the models is the brand new Renault Fluence, a vehicle
especially developed and designed for the GCC, said the statement. Measuring
4,620mm long, the generous dimensions of the new Renault Fluence make it one of
the largest vehicles in its class, said Renault executives. Like all Renault
vehicles, the new Fluence is equipped with a raft of safety features which will
meet even the most exacting customers’ expectations.
In delivering a stress-free ownership experience, all
Fluence models will be sold with a 3-year/100,000km warranty and a series of
unique aftersale benefits as part of “Gulf Advantage Automobiles Our Promise
Initiative,” said the statement. A newly established company, Gulf Advantage
Automobiles was officially launched in July 2010 as exclusive distributors of
Renault vehicles in Saudi Arabia. The new distributorship for Renault
represents a joint venture between Saudi Arabia’s Al Baazei company and Suhail
Bahwan Automobiles LLC.
Renault is part of a group with industrial and commercial
presence in 118 countries. Renault is Europe’s leading brand, the only vehicle
manufacturer to have 12 cars. Renault also pursues an Alliance with Nissan,
created in 1999. The Renault-Nissan Alliance is the fourth largest automotive
group in the world, and aims to rank among the world’s top three automotive
groups for quality, technology and profitability.
