In the firing line ... literally

Though rage at workplaces is commonplace in advanced and developing countries, taking a gun and worse still using it in a workplace is a new phenomenon in the Kingdom. A Saudi worker taking exception to his dismissal after perceiving it as wrongful and biased, took the ultimate step of firing at his boss after arguments and threats failed to sway the boss. The irate worker’s shot left the boss injured in his knee. The boss, an Arab expatriate, was taken to hospital with police later arresting the suspect. The injured boss is in stable condition, Shams newspaper reported on Thursday.
