Preliminary loading programs showed 75 full or part cargoes
were due to be shipped in October, which has one day more than September when
72 cargoes are expected to load.
The exports schedule indicates that Nigeria is for now is
sustaining its lead as Africa’s largest oil exporter. Angola, which rivals
Nigeria for that position, is set to load 1.75 million bpd in October.
Nigeria is set again to exceed its crude oil output
production target agreed with the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting
Countries, which has been set at 1.67 million bpd.
Exports of Nigerian Qua Iboe crude oil are set to increase
in October, loading programs showed, in a sign that production of the country’s
benchmark grade has recovered after an outage earlier this year.
Qua Iboe exports were expected to average around 398,000
barrels per day (bpd) in October, up from around 363,000 bpd planned for
September.
Nigerian crude grades due to ship fewer barrels in October
include EA and Escravos, which each are due to load one cargo less in October
than September.
