The decision to this effect was announced on Monday following a meeting of the Solidarity Group Holding board of directors which approved the new appointment.
The announcement, by Solidarity Group Holding Chairman Khalid Abdulla-Janahi, follows a meeting of the board of directors in Bahrain earlier last week. Janahi congratulated Bseisu on the appointment and wished him continued success in his career.
"Ashraf has played a pivotal role in Solidarity Group, helping chart out the group's local, regional and international growth and setting the stage for further future expansion," said Janahi. "His appointment as group chief executive recognizes his tried and tested abilities to deliver consistent results in even the most challenging market conditions," he said.
Solidarity Group Holding, one of the largest Takaful companies in the world, includes Solidarity Family Takaful Company and Solidarity General Takaful Company in Bahrain as well as subsidiaries and associates in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, Malaysia and Luxembourg.
"The Solidarity Group Holding board of directors remains firmly committed to its vision of developing Solidarity into a leading international Islamic-oriented financial services group generating superior returns to shareholders," said Janahi.
