Health care for pilgrims

He said hospitals, health centers and medical teams are all geared up for the service of the pilgrims and visitors during Ramadan. The minister explained that worshipers inside the Grand Mosque are being served by five health centers inside the mosque and a similar number of health institutions in the outside plazas.
Al-Rabeeah announced that all the pilgrims were in good health and that there were no epidemics among them. During his tour, the minister approved an amount of SR160 million to develop the basic infrastructure of Al-Noor Specialist Hospital in Makkah.
The SR160 million approved for the development of the Al-Noor Specialist Hospital included SR40 million for improving the operation theaters.
The emergency ward and ambulance section of Al-Noor hospital has received 63,525 patients while the outpatient clinics treated 18,824 male and female patients and 1,171 of them were admitted to hospital between the first day of Ramadan and the 25th (Sept. 3).
