In 2011, Spring ushers in a mélange of beiges and tans. These colors are cool and work great with either fair or tan skin. Bold animal prints sneak their way onto the catwalk this year, while color is introduced in graphic prints. Prints are not only fun, they’re attention-grabbing too! People won’t be able to help themselves from complimenting you!
2011 is the year of tailored cuts and sophisticated minimalism. Everything is intentional. Nothing shows off that more than the military references — with high waist paints and fitted jackets. George Chakra miraculously transformed linear designs to undulate with the curves of the female body. The result: stunning evening and cocktail dresses that fashionistas and fashion editors have been lusting over since they debuted down the runway.
Organza, chiffon and light silks were the fabrics for the season. Designers kept things light with these luxurious materials, while others made things rich with elaborate cutouts and handsewn lace.
