The KWE will operate as a
joint-venture company in partnership with the Mohawarean International Group
(MIG) and the Integrated Transportation Co. (ITC), which have their
headquarters in the Saudi capital city.
“All three KWE offices in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam have
started functioning,” said Albert Kraak, KWE’s sales director, while formally
announcing the launch of the operation, here Sunday. Kraak said that the rapid
economic growth of the countries in the Middle East region was particularly
reflected in the growth of Saudi Arabia. Hence, it is right time to start
operation and ensure an active presence in the Kingdom’s market.
He said that the KWE would offer its customers a full range
of logistic services including freight forwarding, warehousing, distribution
and supply chain solutions. Kintetsu World Express, Inc. is a Japan-based
logistics company, which was established way back in 1948. The company
currently employs some 9,000 people worldwide.
The MIG is a Saudi company with business interests in oil
field service, aviation and security, maintenance and operation of major
facilities etc. Another local partner ITC is relatively a new company. Its
business activities include development, investment, operation and management
of projects in transport and logistics sector.
