In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Minister of Higher Education Khaled Al-Anqari said the Council has approved the organization of bonuses to students in some colleges, amendment of names of colleges, reformation of departments, establishment of new institutes and deanships, assignment of vice presidents at some universities, and MOUs between Saudi and Arab universities.
Al-Anqari said the king has approved a proposal to provide air tickets to local university students if they wanted to travel between Saudi cities for educational and research purposes.
A new institute for research and consultancy studies will be established at Madinah University, a center for studies on scientific miracles in the Qur'an and Sunnah at Imam Muhammad bin Saud University in Riyadh and a community health center at King Saud University.
