During the three-day visit, the Saudi delegates will attend the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo, slated for Nov. 1-6 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event is an annual business-to-business trade show representing the global automotive aftermarket that is jointly sponsored by the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association and the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association. Nearly 4,500 exhibitors from around the world will occupy more than 4,000 booths.
The US Department of Commerce staff will organize meetings between Saudi participants and their American counterparts. The delegation will also attend networking sessions with US companies during the three-day visit.
“Automotive is an important sector to Saudi economy and we would like to see more engagement between American and Saudi companies in this sector,” said US Ambassador James B. Smith. “We have a proven track record in our partnerships with Saudi companies and we seek to expand our trade relations with Saudi Arabia to include diverse sectors in the economy.”
Last year, US exports to the Kingdom were valued at $10.8 billion while imports from Saudi Arabia were valued at around $30 billion. The United States is the Kingdom’s largest trade partner and the biggest investor enjoying a two-way trade estimated at SR 193.3 billion.
