Office No. 43 is responsible for several tasks, which include preparing first aid tents for pilgrims. These tents are able to hold 23 patients and cover an area that is 18X12 meters in the Holy Sites.
“Last year, I received a letter of admiration from the head of the Pakistani Haj Mission who visited the medical tent,” Hussein told Arab News with pride.
His office is responsible for protecting lost pilgrims in the Holy Sites. His employees also guide pilgrims who lose their way back to their tents.  Another task of his office is to support the campaign against smoking in the holy sites that was recently launched.
His workers also identify locations where mosquitoes breed and inform the concerned municipal departments to eradicate them as part of the fight against Dengue fever in the holy sites.
Office No.43 also provides temporary shelter to pilgrims who may have become lost in Arafat. Other duties of the office include distribution of masks, prayer beads and prayer mats to pilgrims.  The office also distributes dates to pilgrims on Eid and is tasked with discovering pilgrims who may have diabetes and other pilgrims who need special meals for health reasons.
Hussein’s office was commended for its excellent services last year. One of its remarkable services was its drive to group pilgrims on the basis of their madhhabs (schools of religious thoughts). The office also provides many services to female pilgrims, and has set up a hall, called Fatin Hussein for Humanitarian Activities, for a women’s committee to organize various activities, said Hussain.
