British health care mission seeks partnerships

“All 15 companies and 17 delegates representing the mission are creative and innovative, and looking for distributors and partners,” he added.
The health care sector is one of the UK’s major high tech strengths with over 2,700 medical device companies and an annual turnover in excess of 10 billion pounds, he said, adding that health care in the Kingdom continues to be a thriving sector with an ongoing investment in health services for a population, which is growing by more than three percent per annum. The Kingdom remains the largest market for medical equipment and health care products in the region.
“Here we find tremendous scope for UK companies to provide high quality innovative health care solutions. The Kingdom is a significant export market for the UK valued at around 1.6 billion pounds. It’s one of the UK’s largest trading partners in the Middle East. The UK is Saudi Arabia’s joint fourth largest investor,” he added.
Mission members include Marshall SV, which offers deployable hospital systems. “We provide land systems capability and specialize in rapid deployment of land based systems and equipment to the military front line, non-government organizations and emergency services,” is MD Ray Cutting said.
REACH (Rehabilitation, Education and Community Homes) provides residential and rehabilitation services to a wide spectrum of people with learning disabilities with or without challenging behavior or physical disabilities. “We’re committed to support disabled people in line with state of the art community care strategy,” said its Operations Director Nasreen Saeedi.
Avanti Architects Director Richard Barton said the company with over 25 years experience in the design and construction of healthcare buildings had built health care facilities from local clinics to acute and large hospitals.
“We’re specialized in the development and manufacture of in vitro diagnostic tests for use in clinical labs,” said Axis-Shield’s Sales and Marketing Director Dr. Anil Vasishta.
Bedfont Scientific, with Hubert Sochaj as its export sales executive, specializes in the manufacture of exhaled breath and gas monitoring instruments for medical, scientific and industrial markets. Applications include carbon monoxide monitors for use in smoking cessation and other programs.
David Vance, sales and marketing director of Design Specific, said the design led company was operating within the niche field of special care dentistry. “Targeting dentists working with special care patients, our patent protected wheelchair reclining platform designs bring engineering technology to the dental market and the considerations of special care treatment. Our new compact mobile platform allows wheelchair bound patients to be treated in their own wheelchair.”
Health Audit International, Health Properties Management, Medical Diagnostics and Treatment Solutions, Periproducts, Proventec Healthcare, RZM Pharma with Shahid Mahmood as director, Stone Healthcare, a pharmaceutical export company supplying licensed drugs, medicines and medical supplies, branded and generic pharmaceutical products, Surgins with Dr. Rizwan Qureshi as CEO, and United Medical Enterprises with Andrew Andreou as director, which has managed, developed, commissioned and operated hospitals and health care projects in 23 countries were among the other mission members.
