Capt. Abdulhamid Al-Jawfi said the Red Crescent has trained their pilots to fly in the holy sites, the Al-Laith area near the coastal road, the Al-Hemna area near the Makkah-Madinah road and the Al-Sumaisi area.
The plan also included testing the landing areas for helicopters at the Jamrat Bridge in Mina, Arafat, the Al-Noor and Hira Hospitals at the holy sites, and King Fahd Hospital in Madinah.
Al-Jawfi said all locations mentioned in the plan for this Haj have been covered. All fully crewed helicopters are in position and ready to receive emergency calls, he added.
He said the service would be provided 24 hours a day. Air ambulances were introduced for the first time this Haj.
