ICC general manager Dave Richardson made the announcement Tuesday following an inspection by ICC pitch consultant Andy Atkinson.
Richardson says the ICC is “pleased with the remedial work carried out.” He added that “with the playing surfaces now back to the standard expected for international matches, the Ferozeshah Kotla stadium will be reinstated as an international venue from Jan. 1, 2011.” The venue had been suspended after the abandonment of a one-dayer between India and Sri Lanka on Dec. 27 last year, due to a dangerous pitch.
