3 construction workers killed, 5 injured in Riyadh accident

The incident took place at 9:30 a.m. Sunday when a temporary pillar slid down and a scaffold partially fell at the 12th floor of King Abdullah Financial District (KFDA) building project, sources from the Pioneering Investment Company said.
"The injured workers are in stable condition,"the sources said, adding that the company is now taking extra care to prevent such recurrences.
Two of those killed were Pakistanis and one was anIndian national, who was indentified as Kumar Singh, 35, from the state of Uttar Pradesh.
At the time of the incident, there were at least 30 people working on the particular floor that was under construction, sources said.
The injured, whose nationalities were not known, were admitted to the government general hospital in Semesi.
The laborers were working in building No. 408 of the KFDA project.
