Police spokesman in Hail Lt. Col. Abdul Aziz Al-Zenaidi said the three men were arrested after many citizens complained that the three men were visiting houses in Hail and asking for large amounts of charity.
“They posed as members of a well-known Saudi tribe and demanded generous donations to use as blood money for their relative. After arresting the three, police found that they carried a large sum and were living with forged residence permits,” Al-Zenaidi said.
The official added that the men told police that they entered the county through illegal channels.
It is noticed that some citizens from nearby Arab countries, whose dialects resemble the Saudi dialect, pretend to be Saudis and cheat unsuspecting people narrating heartrending stories of suffering.
Mostly such con artists swindle with their stories pilgrims in Makkah and Madinah.
A close observer can detect the dialectical difference and expose the swindler.
End of road for con artists
