The woman’s body was covered in bruises, said Maj. Abdul Mohsen Al-Mayman, spokesman for Makkah police. He added that there is no suggestion at this stage that the woman was murdered and that the bruises might have been caused when the woman fell on the ground after suffering an epileptic fit. Police are currently awaiting results of a post mortem examination to determine the actual cause of death, he said.
