The
three Saudi men were at a gas station store when they noticed the seven
Ethiopians carrying out a robbery. The Saudis went outside and locked
all doors to the store to prevent the men from leaving. They then called
the police. The seven men used to live in a mountain behind the gas
station and would often come and steal from the shop. A group of other
Ethiopians then came to free their friends inside the store but when
they saw the three Saudis armed with light weapons, they retreated into
the mountains.A police unit came and arrested the seven men. Police
also found SR10,000 in the possession of one of the men. It is thought
the money was stolen. The men also had a number of cell phones in their
possession. Local residents have often complained of the danger posed by illegal migrants who they say are responsible for crimes in the area.
