Luis Scola missed a shot for Houston and Aldridge was fouled on the rebound. Aldridge hit two free throws with 5 seconds remaining to take his game tally to 27 points.

In Newark, New Jersey, Sasha Vujacic made the tiebreaking basket with 5.3 seconds left and New Jersey snapped a five-game losing streak by beating Chicago.
With the game tied, the ball was knocked to Vujacic, who put it in for his 13th point. Derrick Rose then missed a long jumper and Chicago's five-game winning streak was over.
Kris Humphries responded to a demotion with a season-high 20 points and 11 rebounds for the Nets.
Rose had 21 points but just one assist for the Bulls.
In Los Angeles, the home team snapped Denver's four-game winning streak.

Los Angeles outrebounded the Nuggets 57-43 to halt a four-game losing streak against Denver.

Kevin Love had 35 points and 15 rebounds for the Wolves, who turned the ball over five times in overtime to let another fourth-quarter lead slip away.
In Cleveland, Toronto ended a succession of 11 straight losses in Cleveland.
Andrea Bargnani scored 25 points and Leandro Barbosa added 22 for Toronto, which snapped a three-game skid. The Raptors trailed by 15 after a quarter, but had little trouble coming back against the getting-worse-by-the-day Cavaliers, who have lost eight straight.
