Polaroid has unveiled Polaroid Grey Label, an original line of products co-designed with the company’s new creative director, Lady Gaga. The inaugural Polaroid Grey Label line includes the GL10 Instant Mobile Printer, GL30 Instant Digital Camera and the GL20 Camera Glasses, which Polaroid claims are a ”unique new look at how to turn images into a fashion statement.” The GL10 Instant Mobile Printer uses patented ZINK Paper which is manufactured with dye crystals embedded inside. The printer relies on heat to activate and colorize these crystals and reproduce the desired image. On the plus side, ZINK technology doesn’t require messy toner or inkjet cartridges. The limitation though is that the printer only creates 3x4 inch prints. The GL30 Instant Digital Camera also uses Zink technology to combine the benefits of a digital camera with the ability to print instant photos. The GL20 Camera Glasses merge fashion with photography. Using the glasses, users can instantly capture or upload photos with the built-in camera and then display the images on the glasses’ LCD screens for others to see as a digital fashion statement.

The Enviroplug is an energy saving adapter for mobile phones. With the Enviroplug, leave the mobile phone plugged in, safe in the knowledge that once the phone’s battery has been fully charged, the plug will stop any further drain of electricity. Many people leave their phones to charge overnight even though phones are often charged within two hours. Each hour the phone is plugged in after full charge has been achieved, the charger would usually draw 2 watts, whereas the Enviroplug will only draw 0.35 watts an hour. For those that leave the charger constantly plugged in, the amount of energy saved is substantially greater as a charger left plugged in but not connected to a mobile still uses about 24 watts over a 16 hour period. With the Enviroplug this amount is reduced to 0.8 watts in 16 hours.
