Payvment has launched the first Shopping Mall on Facebook (). The new mall offers over one million products. Shoppers can use a comprehensive mall directory of ecommerce stores, from celebrity brands to local merchants, to discover or find what they are looking for in an easily searchable way. The mall enables customers to use Facebook’s “like” functionality for any product, enhancing products’ recommendations and personalizing the shopping experience further. A dashboard feature of the mall shows what you like, which helps define your preferences and creates a wish list of products. It also shows what your friends like, which provides trusted suggestions. There's also the "Your Cart” feature which holds onto your items even if you don’t buy them and updates pricing and inventory information. Customers are able to shop throughout the mall with the same virtual shopping cart and then check out just once. If you do use the Shopping Mall on Facebook remember that your shopping habits will be tracked, analyzed and targeted. Consider carefully whether you are comfortable with such a scenario.
