AOL CEO Tim Armstrong said Stone will be advising on “using innovative approaches to do good and give back”. Huffington Post also says it’s hiring veteran John Montorio as culture and entertainment editor, as well as 10 new reporters.
On Thursday, AOL said it will slash 900 jobs worldwide, or nearly 20 percent of its work force, partly to eliminate overlap stemming from the acquisition of Huffington Post, which closed a week ago.
