The Buffalo charter school won the red-carpet premiere of "Diary of a
Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules" in a contest sponsored by 20th Century Fox and
Parade magazine. The mother of a third-grader submitted the winning entry.
Kinney says he's looking forward to seeing how a real audience of kids responds
to the movie.
His popular books are told from the perspective of middle
schooler Greg Heffley and convey angst over growing up through funny stories
and simple sketches.
