But a Turkish Foreign Ministry official said Monday there was no official application to open a Taleban office in Turkey and that there were no immediate plans to host Afghan peace talks. The official spoke on condition of anonymity in line with ministry regulations.

Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari is scheduled to arrive in Turkey late Monday, and Afghanistan is expected to be high on the agenda of talks.
