The new branch is the ninth launched in the Kingdom by Bab Rizq Jameel, the initiative by ALJ Community Initiatives.
The new branch is the main BRJ center in Jazan, and will offer several job-creation programs. In addition, the new center will provide a database of job opportunities in private companies, as well as names of jobseekers.
BRJ will provide training ending with employment programs in cooperation with the Human Resources Development Fund and interest-free loans through the Small Projects Finance and Productive Household programs.
BRJ Jazan will also create more job opportunities through the Taxi and Truck Ownership and Franchise programs.
The center is planning to create 200 job opportunities every month through its diversified programs.
During the opening ceremony, Jameel said: “We are pleased with opening the first BRJ branch in the southern region. We will open more branches throughout the Kingdom.”
Jameel appreciated the great and creative ideas that could be developed, and thanked the HRDF, Saudi Credit and Saving Bank and the Jazan governorate for their unlimited and continuous support to BRJ programs.
Saleh Al Zahrani, BRJ director in the southern region, stated that the branch has created 4,357 job opportunities from 2006 to March 2011.
Al-Zahrani added that the branch is seeking to create 200 job opportunities a month through its 18-member staff — 10 men and 8 women.
During the first three months of 2011, BRJ created 12,148 job opportunities, a 30 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
