AIS aims to provide, in partnership with the parents, high quality education so that all pupils are able to reach their full potential within a caring and secure environment. “Our vision is that children leave school with a set of spiritual and moral values, honesty, integrity and good judgment, a desire for knowledge, strong self-esteem and high personal expectation, tolerance and respect for others,” AIS stated.
Its strength as an institution is its faculty, made up of competent teachers from diverse cultural backgrounds. They are committed to student-centered experimental learning and always put the individual learner’s strengths and interests first.  Its teachers are well qualified academically in their respective disciplines, from Bachelor degrees to PhDs. In addition, it has teachers bringing corporate experiences acquired in their previous employment into their classrooms, lending credibility in their interactions with our students. “Students are encouraged to talk to their teachers and school counselor when seeking advice and assistance.   The counselor also works with students, parents and teachers on matters concerning behavior and academics. We hope to optimize the wellbeing of students as this promotes the environment for academic success,” the school stated.
The school has a comprehensive educational program for elementary and middle grades (1-8), and high school (9-12). The elementary grades are designed to help students develop the skills and attitudes they will need throughout a lifetime of learning.
The middle and high school sections are designed to meet the needs of young adolescents and then later on the needs of students preparing for university. “Our approach fosters good learning habits, self-confidence and a thorough understanding of academic subjects. This student-centered educational approach embraces and transcends traditional methods by helping students see the connections between academic disciplines,” the school said.
The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) program guides the Grade 9-10 curriculum. IGCSE is an international curriculum that develops students’ skills in creative thinking, enquiry and problem solving, and gives them excellent preparation for the next stage in their education. The program is regularly updated and extended. IGCSE has global recognition from higher education institutions. Certificates are awarded upon notification of results and these certificates, issued by the University of Cambridge, have international currency.
The SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) is a standardized test, which is required for college admission by many colleges and universities in the United States. An association of schools and colleges in the United Sates conducts it. “We provide classroom preparation for taking the SAT,” says the school.
The school library provides students with required information to keep pace with the demands of our growing curriculum. Its aim is to continue providing a resourceful environment and to develop a deep love of reading.
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has become an integral part of lifestyle.  AIS integrate ICT into the curriculum, with a state-of-the-art computer laboratory that has latest equipment with high-speed Internet connectivity. The lab aims to develop computer skills within a quiet and focused environment.
Students learn scientific concepts better through experimentation. AIS has a science laboratory designed to promote inquiry-based education.
Physical Education in the curriculum and sports and other extra-curricular activities are integral areas of school life. “The sense of well-being they bring contribute positively to our ethos,” says the school.
