April 28 – May 8: Foire Internationale de Paris 2011 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.
April 30: Face Down — Elijaah — Digital Coma. Gates open at 8 p.m. Location: Le Palace. Pandemonium Production. Cost: 8-12 euros.
May 1-31: Foire du Trone (Annual Fair). Parents and kids can look forward to the annual Paris fair (Foire du Trône), which runs through the end of the month and delivers all the traditional fun of a county fair with Ferris wheels, roller coasters and cotton candy.
May 1: Path of the Lizard King (Jim Morrison Walk of Paris) at 1 p.m. Metro: Saint-Germain-des-Prs.

May 7: La Fouine at 8 p.m. At Zénith de Paris 211 avenue Jean Jaurès.
May 9: Sufjan Stevens at 8 p.m. at Olympia Hall.
May 15 – 29: Saint-Germain-des-Prés Jazz Festival. The city's most famous annual jazz festival will take the St. Germain neighborhood by storm for the 10th year running this month. Enthusiasts of the genre should reserve a day or two for this popular event. Metro: St. Germain des Prés.
May 16: Alina Orlova at Alhambra Paris. Alina Orlova (real name Alina Orlovskaya, born June 28, 1988) is a Lithuanian sung poetry singer and musician. Orlova both composes her own songs and performs other musicians' cover versions. She generally performs in three languages — Lithuanian, Russian and English.
May 17 – June 5: The 2011 French Open at Roland Garros — Tennis fans should not miss one of France's most exciting and important tournaments. Tennis greats like Steffi Graf made their debuts at Roland Garros, and the French Open continues to host some of the world's unforgettable matches.
May 23: Cranach and His Time — The Musee du Luxembourg is re-opening after a more than yearlong hiatus with an exhibit dedicated to German Renaissance painter Lucas Cranach, little-known to the general public but a major figure in Renaissance art. Location: Musee du Luxembourg 19 rue de Vaugirard, 6th arrondissement. Metro: Saint Sulpice, RER Luxembourg.

May 25 – 27: The 11th Annual CIS Oil & Gas Summit, Russia, Ukraine, The Caspian & Central Asia.  All day on May 25.
May 26: Cat Stevens/Yusuf Islam at 8 p.m. at Palais Omnisport de Bercy.
May 27: Death in Vegas — At 8 p.m. at Alhambra Paris.
May 27 – 30: Artists' Open House in Belleville Galleries — This annual event provides an exceptional opportunity to get to know some of Paris' contemporary artists and their work, as well as getting a glimpse of Parisian life from the inside. Over 200 artists living and working in the edgy, urbanite Belleville neighborhood open their doors to show off their work and spaces every day from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
