Hamas said in a press statement that the Palestinian
Preventive Service forces arrested Ibrahim Talahmeh, Jebarah Talahmeh and Amjed
Qazaz from the town of Doura, to the southwest of Hebron.
It added that clashes erupted between the Palestinian
security forces and members of Al-Awawdeh family after the forces tried to
arrest one of their relatives.
The Talahmeh and Qazaz families slammed the incident. “The
arrests negatively affect the positive atmosphere that followed the signing of
reconciliation agreement between Fatah and Hamas,” the families said in a
statement.
The two movements used to exchange the crackdowns since June
2007 when Hamas routed pro-Abbas forces and took control of the Gaza Strip.
