That's fueling speculation she's inching toward a run and might even base it out of Arizona. But the Republican is also weighing her family's privacy against advice she's seeking from a growing circle of political advisers that includes a veteran of Bob Dole's 1996 presidential bid.
Those close to the governor say that only Palin herself knows her next moves. But the steps she is taking suggest she's at least keeping open the door for a presidential run in a GOP field that hasn't yet excited the base. With her high name recognition, she could wait longer than others.
