There were 39 winners across different categories of which 64 represented offset printing while 21 were from digital printing. Entries from around the region, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman, Jordan, Lebanon, Kuwait, India, Qatar and Egypt took home awards for their recognized talents and work effort.
"I would like to congratulate all the winners for their outstanding work and contribution within the printing and publishing industry," said Ahmad Bin Hassan Al Shaikh, chairman of the Printing and Publishing Group.
"DIPA 2011 is representative of the pride and superior printing quality being brought forward within the Arab World, and we all look forward to seeing what DIPA 2012 will bring."
The DIPA Awards 2012 demonstrates the growth of the industry within the region, as the industry expertise and young developing talent showcase the best of their work for both digital and offset printing.
Total printing revenues for 2009 for the Middle East and Northern Africa (MENA) region reached $5.7 billion and, according to a report published by Pira International, will increase to $7 billion by 2015.
With future regional printing demands, the focus will remain on quality, service and innovation.
The DIPA Awards have been held since 2006, with a steady and positive forecast for DIPA Awards 2012.
The commitment and enthusiasm from both inside and outside the print industry has been phenomenal and is very encouraging.
Every individual and company that has participated in the Awards has shown an outstanding contribution to the industry.
The Outstanding Contribution Award, also known as the personality of the year award, was given to Fahad Al-Obaikan of Saudi Arabia for being one of the founders of the printing sector in the GCC and the Middle East, and for his overall contribution and added value he has provided to the printing industry.
