The 51-year-old complex in White City in west London comes with some distinguished ghosts, including characters from “Monty Python’s Flying Circus” and early episodes of “Doctor Who,” which were recorded there.
The BBC has not disclosed its asking price.
BBC executive Chris Kane, who is managing the sale, said Monday that he expects some strong bids because of the shortage of landmark sites in London and the current high demand for commercial property.
The BBC is moving a large part of its production facilities to a new complex in Salford, near Manchester.
