Palestinian sources said that three Palestinians were
wounded by Israeli soldiers in the village of Bil’in to the west of Ramallah.
The sources said that Rabei’ Turkman and Issa Abu Rahmeh were wounded in their
hands by tear gas canisters. The sources said that teenager Moussa Yassin was
wounded when a tear gas canister hit his face.
The sources added that several Palestinian, Israeli and
international peace activists also suffered from gas inhalation. The wounded
received medical treatment at the site, the sources said.
The Bil’in Popular Committee Against the Wall and
Settlements said that American director James Shamus, Palestinian officials,
representatives of Palestinians factions and village’s residents participated
in the weekly rally.
Mohammed Braijeyeh, the spokesman of Popular Committee
Against the Wall and Settlements in Bethlehem, said that the two activists were
wounded by rubber-coated bullets Israeli soldiers fired against the
demonstrators in Al-Mi’sarah village.
Braijeyeh added that several activists also suffered from
gas inhalation.
