Young designer and entrepreneur Hatem Alakeel opened the new Toby men’s fashion boutique in Jeddah last week, in the presence of a large number of his style-loving, fashion forward fans, all keen to view the new boutique and the latest collection of thobes. In essence, the new boutique is an extension of the designer himself and a testament to his aesthetic sensibilities. Alakeel expressed his desire that the new boutique will become a center of elegance in the heart of Jeddah for all those who wish to make their mark on Saudi fashion by wearing thobes that combine eastern traditions with fine international fashion. At the opening event, Alakeel, considered by many to be the Tom Ford of the Middle East, displayed his latest collection that is trendy, fun and unconventional with strong international appeal, designed to deliver a message centered on bridging cultures and continents regardless of nationality, language, race and creed. The wide scope of the new collection accommodates the demands of all age groups and tastes, ranging from classical to casual and sporty. A special range has been designed for children.
