"We have been working on developing the highway plazas for last many years. Of course, there was a long delay in implementing this project," the prince said while launching a model SASCO plaza in Riyadh.
He said the new project to develop highway plazas would be carried out in association with the ministries of transport and municipality and investors.
"The government will soon issues certain rules and regulations to improve the condition of highway plazas meeting with the expectations of citizens and visitors and reflecting the Kingdom's position," he said.
Prince Sultan said SASCO has invested more than SR120 million to develop 100 plazas along the highways. He urged the company to build hotels along the highways and create more jobs for Saudis.
