Residents relieved after arrest of Qassim gang

Speaking to Al-Jazirah newspaper, she said that when she returned to the house, she was shocked to see the maid crying and her house trashed. The robbers managed to take all jewelry hidden in her bedroom. The maid was allegedly raped at gunpoint.
The woman said the maid was in a terrible state because of what happened to her and has refused to continue working, saying she wants to go home. The Saudi woman, who was not identified, said, “I was very happy when police told me that the gang was finally caught. Life will go back to normal.”
Qassim police recently arrested the nine men while they were fleeing in a car with a steel safe containing the valuable goods.
The gang members confessed to police that they were involved in 278 armed robberies involving cash and goods worth SR5.54 million.
They robbed shops, rest houses, goat farms, cars and houses. All stolen goods recovered will be returned to its owners. There are also many crimes that victims did not report to the police.
Another Saudi victim, who also did not want to mention his name, said that when he returned to his house one day, he saw his children crying. “The thieves entered the house shortly after I left and fired gunshots to scare the kids. The gang locked the kids inside one of the rooms and stole all our valuables, including money my child was saving to buy a video game.”
He said the gang shot the house driver as they fled.
Another victim said he was surprised when he received a phone call from police saying that they caught those responsible for burgling his house.
The man did not report the crime to police fearing that it would scare his kids. He said police told him that they identified his house as one of those targeted by the men. Police asked him to come to the station to identify the stolen items.
There was a big relief in Qassim after the dangerous gang was finally busted.
