Jet Aviation has appointed Stephan Krenz as the senior vice president and general manager of Jet Aviation Basel. In this role, Krenz is responsible for leadership of the Jet Aviation Basel facility and for overseeing the entire completions business in the EMEA and Asia region. Stephan Krenz assumed this new role effective July 1, 2011 and reports directly to Dan Clare, president of the Jet Aviation Group. He joined the company from Bombardier Transportation as interim general manager of Jet Aviation Basel in March 2011. Krenz began his professional career as a management consultant with A. T. Kearney and joined Bombardier Transportation in 1995. During his 15-year tenure with Bombardier, Krenz was promoted to vice president of various divisions within the company, including project management and sales, before he was appointed president of the company’s “Germany & Scandinavia” business unit, where he served until 2010. “Stephan brings a wealth of experience and leadership know-how to the company,” says Clare, “and his appointment underscores Jet Aviation’s commitment to meeting the highest quality standards while serving the needs of our customers.”
Juniper Networks recently announced two key appointments to its operations team. Bask Iyer has been appointed as senior vice president and chief information officer (CIO) and Martin J. Garvin has been appointed senior vice president of manufacturing operations. Iyer joins Juniper Networks from Honeywell, where he most recently served as company-wide CIO and a member of the leadership team driving its IT vision, strategy and operating plan. Garvin most recently served as senior vice president and chief procurement officer at Dell, where he was responsible for the strategic leadership and operation of Dell’s global supply chain. Mike Rose, executive vice president of service, support and operations at Juniper Networks, said: “Bask is a seasoned leader with deep knowledge and experience in diverse industries, which will benefit Juniper as we continue to execute our vision for the new network and extend our business into new market segments. Garvin will be responsible for driving the company’s manufacturing and supply chain strategy, and continuing to advance processes, systems and tools to ensure predictable scalable delivery of quality products to Juniper customers worldwide.
