Gulf-bound passengers are being monitored after intelligence reports suggested that the terrorists who carried out the explosions might try to escape to a Gulf country.
Meanwhile Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray appealed to people not to depend on the government for their security. He told them to "eliminate the terrorists and terrorism for ever from Mumbai and the country."
“It’s most unfortunate that the state has been laden with a misfit, corrupt and totally incompetent government. Ajmal Qasab, 26/11 Mumbai terror blast accused, is enjoying a luxurious life in Arthur Road Prison. And even though the Parliament blast accused Afzal Guru has been sentenced to death, he is not executed yet.”
Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) President Raj Thackeray, speaking to Arab News, via phone from Mumbai said "no matter how much the state government and the police are abused, they remain shameless characters."
Raj blamed migrants from the north for the blasts and said “until and unless the migrants from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Bangladesh are not kicked out, terror and terror acts will not stop in Maharashtra."
Taking a swipe at the Congress General-Secretary Rahul Gandhi, Raj said: "He is brainless and murmurs all stupid things.”
