“The training program includes reading body language and developing listening skills apart from many other useful but simple techniques,” trainer in the program Fahd Yameen told Arab News on Monday.
The training is part of a program organized by the Tatweer Al-Nobla for Educational Consultancy in collaboration with the Jeddah Districts Center.
The 20-hour training, which takes place over two days, deals with various aspects of communication including factors that make communication effective, Yameen said.
“The program aims to help youths develop skills involving good relations at work and how to self improve,” Secretary General of the Districts Center Hassan Al-Zahrani said.
Al-Zahrani said that the program would generate a group of young men who would be capable of discovering their aptitudes and specializations that suit them in addition to realizing their own worth in society.
“Their ability to learn about themselves and other people will enable them to master the techniques of salesmanship and project management,” he said.
He added that four workshops are being conducted as part of the training program. The workshops are on marketing, self-discovery and emotional intelligence, communication skills, and project management.
The program is sponsored by the Saudi Economic and Development Company.
In another development, the Ramadan Technical Hobby Club of the Secondary Industrial Institute in Jeddah has launched a national competition on methods of developing patriotic sentiments, said Chairman of the Technical and Vocational Training Council in Makkah Rashid Al-Zahrani.
The council is supervising the club's summer competitions.
The Hobby Club organizes summer events aimed at developing patriotism and a desire to adhere to religious values at an early age.
Director of the club Huzaa Al-Sobaie said 250 youths are participating in the contests that would show the depth of their patriotism and love for their fellow countrymen.
