Actors Anton Yelchin and Christopher Mintz-Plasse spoke to The Associated Press ahead of the film’s Sept. 2 opening in Britain.
The film features Colin Farrell as a vampire who goes after a neighbor (Yelchin) who discovers his secret. It took in less than $10 million in its US opening weekend, placing fifth behind films including “The Help” and “Rise of the Planet of the Apes.”
The duo hope the Craig Gillespie-directed “Fright Night” — described as a “reimagining” of the 1985 cult classic of the same name — will take a bigger bite out of the European market when it swoops into cinemas this week.
