Ahli, Shabab, Hilal and Nasr make winning starts

In Madinah, 10-strong Ahli defeated Al-Ansar 1-0 at Prince Muhammad ibn Abdul Aziz Stadium, which was attended by a large number of fans from both sides. The only goal of the match came in the 71st minute following a fine shot by Ahli striker Emad Al-Hosani from inside the penalty area.
In Riyadh, Nasr defeated Al-Raid by a solitary goal scored by Khaled Al-Zailaie in the 23rd minute.
In another match, Hilal rallied to get past Hajr 2-1. Hajr took the lead in the 43rd minute through Khaled Al-Rajeeb. Hilal equalized through Yousuf Al-Arabi in the 48th minute. Yousuf scored his second goal in the 66th minute for the match winner.
In the last match, Shabab defeated Alfaisaly 3-1.
The second round will resume on Thursday.
With the end of the round, Ittihad is on top of the table. Second in the standing is Shabab followed by Hilal with the positions being decided on goal differnce with the teams level on three points. Ahli, Nasr and Ittifaq are in the fourth place.
