Abu Al-Naja said preparations were under way for the convening of the conference, which would group together both the public and private sectors to announce their vacancies and the qualifications and experience required. She added that an exhibition titled “Saudization Under a New Concept 2012” would be concurrently held with the conference.
Abu Al-Naja said the nationalization of jobs in the Kingdom had entered a new and important phase following the new rules and regulations issued by the government to replace foreigners with qualified Saudis.
“The employment of Saudi men and women in place of foreigners is a national duty, a social responsibility and a God-given right for Saudis,” she said.
Abu Al-Naja said various government departments and private establishments participating in the conference would present their employment strategies and work opportunities that could be filled by qualified Saudi men and women.
“The objective of the conference is to contribute to resolving the problem of unemployment among Saudis,” she explained.
She said the way the private sector looked at Saudi youth had to be changed.  “The private sector does not believe that Saudi youth have a work ethic or that they are capable of continuing in jobs for a long time. This is a wrong conception that must be changed,” she said.
Abu Al-Naja said she was collecting up-to-date and accurate data about private sector establishments in order to be able to come up with a practical plan next year for the solution of the unemployment problem.
“We are also studying the needs of the Saudi labor market in comparison with markets in neighboring countries,” she said.
