Poet, writer and president of Urdu Markaz Athar Naffees Abbasi presided over the function.
Abbasi, while praising the founders of the Kingdom, Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah and the Saudi leadership, said Saudi-Pakistan relationship is natural and representative of the Muslim brotherhood. He said expatriates in general and Pakistanis in particular praise the peace, harmony and comforts in the Kingdom.
Irfan Hashmi, vice president of Markaz, said the Kingdom’s prosperity is beneficial not only to the Saudis but to the Ummah, and Muslims love the country because of the two holy mosques.
Sheikh Mohammad Luqman, a businessman, said Saudis appreciated the role of Pakistanis in the field of banking, education, construction, health etc.
Convener Syed Ehsanul Haque thanked the guests for their presentation on Saudi National Day. He praised the Kingdom’s support in solving the issues of Kashmir and stranded Pakistanis and helping Pakistan during difficult times.
Hamid Islam Khan, Gulab Khan, Mohammad Ashfaque Badaouni, Riyaz Ghumman, Mohammad Nawaz Janjua, Mohammd Agha and Syed Shehabuddin also praised the Kingdom and its leaders for promoting justice and peace.
The program was conducted by Abdul Qayyum Waseq. Zamurrad Khan Saifi, Athar Abbasi, Waseq presented poems on the Saudi National Day and Saudi-Pakistan relations.
