Jennifer Lopez owes her big break in the industry to Janet Jackson. R’n’B superstar Usher, one of the top best-selling artists in American music history, was one of the opening acts during Janet Jackson’s “The Velvet Rope World Tour” (1998-1999). He credits her for teaching him how to develop a stage show into a full-scale theatrical performance. "I learned a lot about how to make an artist look like a star. On the personal side, I got a chance to hug her,” said Usher.
