He was speaking at a function held at his residence to honor three Saudi scholarship students who returned from Sweden after completing their studies.
Dag Juhlin Dannfelt said that under the King Abdullah Scholarship Program, 22 Swedish universities have been accredited by the Saudi Ministry of Higher Education.
"A large number of Saudi students are expected to make use of this opportunity during the next academic year," Dannfelt said,.
The ambassador congratulated the three electrical engineering graduates Hashem Jaber, Badr bin Salamah and Salem Feras Al-Yami, who completed two years of postgraduate studies in Swedish institutions.
The three students, who were on a scholarship awarded by ABB Saudi Arabia, specialized in power and automation technologies.
Dannfelt, who came to the Kingdom four weeks ago, described the Saudi-Swedish relations as excellent.
Recalling the recent visit of Sweden's King Carl Gustav, the envoy said the two countries maintained fruitful relations in the health care, economic, construction and communication sectors in the Kingdom.
