The counseling provided by the society’s officials were mostly on family, social and educational issues. “The callers themselves or with relatives sought counseling for family issues,” Anas bin Abdul Wahhab Zara said. He added that since the beginning of the year the society received 28,698 calls.
He said the 14 counselors, both men and women, work in the society’s family counseling department mornings and evenings.
They are specialized in Islamic law, social sciences, psychology and education.
They give appropriate advice to the callers under the guidance of a general supervisor.
The counselors also strive to raise awareness in individuals and families on how to solve psychological, family and social problems, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Thursday.
