“A relative of the hostage reported the matter only after he paid the ransom and consented to all demands made by the kidnappers,” said spokesman for the Eastern Province police Lt. Col. Ziyad Al-Raqiti. Ahsa police set up a special team to investigate the crime and arrested the gang of three at an apartment outside the city, said Al-Raqiti.
He added that the police team seized the ransom cash and the robbed money from the gang in addition to the car used for the kidnapping.
Investigations are under way.
