Rania, speaking at a meeting of the World Economic Forum on the shores of the Dead Sea, said Sunday that the private sector should offer internships and governments should revamp education to teach business skills.
She said that youth unemployment cost the region $50 billion per year.
A report released Saturday at the conference said that the Middle East had the highest youth unemployment rate in the world with 2.8 million youth entering the labor market every year. It said that 25 million new jobs were needed over the next decade.
