Her style can be described as an explosive mix of R&B, hip-hop, electro house and pop with elements of turntablism and scratching.
As the winner of “Best DJane Of The Year” at ProDJ Awards in 2010, DJ Juicy M definitely knows how to create the right mood and can blow up the party venue with her skills and killer looks.
DJ Juicy M’s success rides her through a journey around the world making her one of the most propelling DJs in Europe. Since 2006, she has performed in over 200 venues in more than 30 countries worldwide in high profile clubs and events such as Trofana Arena (Austria), Pacha (Egypt), Alcova (Singapore), Horizon Lounge (Dubai), The Rooftop (Hanoi), Kino Cottage (Mumbai), D’Lux (Kiev) and many more.
Born and raised in Kiev, Ukraine, she studied journalism and was working as a news narrator on a musical channel.
Even during her childhood, she admits she loved the limelight. In fact, she was always on stage either singing, dancing or participating in various beauty contests and other public forums. “I can definitely say that I’ve been a creative personality since my very childhood,” she said.
When she started out, she became a resident DJ in the best Ukrainian Clubs at that time like Orangerea Supper Club and Patipa Club in Kiev as well as Matrix Club in Yalta. Juicy also signed deals with Fashion TV Ukraine and was a headliner of the Ukrainian FTV tour in 2007.
Here, she speaks with Arab News about her journey or not just achieving great DJ titles but also a bigger human being in her heart.

My main dream and aim in life is to become better person and a more professional artist with each new day. If I can get it then I can get it all!

My guiding light above all is my family. However, no less important are people on the dance floor — people that give me so much energy and confidence and all my fans whom I play my music for.

As I previously mentioned, since my childhood, music was always around me and I think it was just a matter of time for me till I became a DJ. At first, I came to DJ School just for fun in 2006, but then I really got involved and very soon it became a part of my life.
Concerning electronic music, I play only music that I like, which why I mash up different styles. For example, I can play hip-hop tracks within my house set or vice versa. I like to be an open format. I believe that music should not be limited by styles.

I always like those artists who take the next step and go for dance music. For example, right now, I like mostly David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia, Afrojack, Wolfgang Gartner and Calvin Harris for an incredible combination of electronic dance music with R&B and pop vocals.

Yes. When I am off from my tours and international gigs, I always play in the best local clubs like D’Lux, Penthouse De Fleur, Serebro, Vodka Bar etc. I’ve been deejaying for five years, and I’ve been to about 30 different countries and played in more than 200 clubs all over the world. But, I’m sure that it’s just a beginning and I’m not going to stop.

I think my success is making me better. For example, since I started performing on red carpet events, I needed to watch for the look and beauty factor. Frequent tours and journeys make me think more about my health and appreciate my time.

Oh, every day it’s a new song. At the moment it’s “Little Bad Girl” by David Guetta featuring Taio Cruz.

Every single thing about being Juicy M is the best. I do everything I dreamed about when I was young. I’m traveling, partying and meeting a lot of interesting people all around the world. I can’t even imagine what I can do besides music.

At the moment, I’m working hard on the production of my own music. I’ve been learning music theory, vocals and producing in Logic Pro for two years. I’m planning to release my debut album next year, and I’m doing my best so that people like it.

There are a lot of examples of social and motivating music in the world, and I really respect that as long as it’s about love, unity and having fun. My music is more about “having fun” and I’m sure my sets influence people in the clubs exactly in the same way.

Oh yeah, a lot! I like being in Middle East. There are many classy clubs and major events. Closest plan is to visit and play on some events during F1 in Abu Dhabi.
