“The chamber has nine halls well equipped with the state-of-the art technology for video conferencing throughout the year,” he added.
Al-Hakami said the technique was used last week to hold meetings with a number of businessmen in the United Arab Emirates and India and to broadcast a number of lectures and debates outside.
He also said for the first time last week, a meeting was organized via satellite communications between five Saudi real estate companies with their American counterparts in the state of Indiana.
“The two sides discussed investment opportunities in real estate, engineering consultancy, construction, contracting and services,” he explained. “This was the fifth video meeting between Saudi and American businessmen,” he added.
Al-Hakami asked all Saudi companies and businessmen to use this technology to make partnerships with their counterparts all over the world.
A number of Saudi government establishments, universities and institutes were using the video conferencing technology to communicate with their counterparts outside the Kingdom. “This technique has been extensively used especially in education and medical fields,” Al-Hakami said.
