This award is in recognition and an affirmation of the exceptional achievements achieved by Axis in the Indonesian telecommunications market.
The company has grown to provide services to more than 15 million customers after setting up its mobile network.
The company, launched three years ago, has a six percent market share.
The award adds a lot of value to the STC Group’s business and contributes to building its operations in a very promising market, said a press release.
This growth will raise the STC’s value as a group while making a distinctive achievement in the Indonesian telecommunications market following the expansion of its network and achieving leadership in the various marketing and promotional programs that meets the requirements for growth and economic benefits.
AXIS is currently working on strengthening its 3G network by setting up more than 5,000 telecom substations and is planning to upgrade its network to increase its capacity to 50 million customers.
AXIS received the Best Mobile Operator award during the TMT Finance Middle East Conference.
It also clinched two more awards this year for the best marketing program and the best roaming data for GSM.
